erfi presents the new standalone housing program

erfi presents the new standalone enclosure program as well as the new 19″ table and 19″ cockpit superstructures at this year’s Productronica 2015.

The innovative elneos five, basic and highlab device series can be ideally operated as table-top devices thanks to the newly developed housing.

A new standalone enclosure range has been developed for this purpose, which meets the very high design and functional requirements of the appliance series. The materials used guarantee optimum protection for the built-in device components. The incorporation of professional 19″ mounting technology means that 19″ / 3 U part racks can be optimally integrated.
The body is made of anodized extruded aluminium profiles. This protects the installed equipment from mechanical stress, dirt and other influences. The functional side handles made of injection-molded plastic parts with an integrated recess ensure good handling and leave a high-quality impression. These functional elements are available in two different colors (elneos green or grey).

A modern surface perforation in the graphite-black plastic side panels guarantees the supply of fresh air at all times. When several enclosures, table superstructures or cockpits are arranged in a row, special recesses guarantee the supply of fresh air from above and below.
A well thought-out system ensures the right air flow! The plastic guarantees 100% protection against accidental contact.

All standalone housing models can optionally incorporate an LED RGB indication light strip. The indication light is particularly important in conjunction with the elneos five device series. The devices in the elneos five series have built-in limit value monitoring (limiter) for power supply units, power arbitrary generators, digital multimeters and power meters, which are directly coupled to 8 digital outputs. These outputs are used to control the indication light.

The indication light therefore ensures maximum safety in the workplace and is a sensible option. Whether in the laboratory for long-term experiments or in training facilities. The indication light significantly increases occupational safety.

A completely new modular housing concept, based on multi-profile technology, enables the integration of different device models with 2 different depths and any width. Furthermore, the extruded profile technology allows the housing to be used directly as a device carrier for the laboratory environment. The enclosures are mounted across the entire width of the laboratory bench either directly on the bench surface or on the 3rd level as a self-supporting device cockpit.

The new aluminum housings are ideal for use as table-top superstructures and cockpits and can accommodate all 3 U devices from the elneos five, highlab and basic device series. They are a sensible alternative to the previous superstructures and cockpits made of laminate material. The new functional elements include a ventilation system that ensures sufficient air flow even when the units are arranged in rows!

The RGB LED indicator lights can be installed either in the top or in the front of the aluminum housing. The modern and sensor-controlled RGB LED workstation light from the elneos connect workstation series is concealed in the underside of the cockpit.

The latest LED technology was used in the in-house development of the elneos connect lighting. The modern and sensor-controlled RGB LED workstation light of the elneos connect furniture series is invisibly embedded in the underside of the cockpit.

The RGB LED indicator lights can be installed either in the top or in the front of the aluminum housing.

The swivel-mounted RGB LED work light is concealed from view in the lower profile of the cockpit. This light is controlled by powerful RGB LEDs and high-power white LEDs. The light can be swivelled in its holder, it is dimmableand any light color can be set.

Another plus is the adjustment of the light color to the current daylight situation and the avoidance of shadows. The new luminaire can also be used as a single luminaire and is alternatively available with white LEDs only.

The indication light is a special LED light guide that can be operated either as a signal indicator or ambient light.
Smooth color transitions and flashing functions are also possible.

With this product development, erfi has once again set new standards and opened up new sales markets.

The elneos® five appliance system and the elneos® connect workstation system received the reddot Design Award. This was followed shortly afterwards by the German Design Award and the Focus Open, and in January 2014 erfi received the if Product Design Award for elneos®.
