End of April 2016: workstations to check heating controls in chemical plant!
erfi supplies complex workstations for commissioning and checking the function of heating controls for process engineering systems in a BASF chemical plant. The workstations are characterized by functions specially designed for commissioning and control tasks.

Equipment of the devices
The workstations are each equipped with a 0-30V / 0-2A control power supply unit and five networked power and energy measuring devices including digital multimeters from the elneos five series for the simultaneous recording of current, voltage, power, resistance and temperature. The measured values are recorded cyclically and stored on a computer in CSV files.
The workstations also contain
- variable transformers with 0-520V / 0-25A and 0-400V / 0-16A
- I/O modules with 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs as well as 2 analog inputs (0 – 10 V and 0 – 20 mA) and 2 analog outputs (0 – 10 V and 0 – 20 mA)
- 2 Pt100 simulator
- Remote switchable socket pairs
- Indication light for displaying when limit values are exceeded
All devices can either be controlled manually or remotely via the built-in LAN interface. The use of elneos five enables characteristic curves to be recorded during long-term tests. Each workstation is also equipped with its own wireless network, which makes remote control and monitoring of the tests much easier.

Table functions
The tables are extremely resilient thanks to the flexible and adaptable elneos connect laboratory furniture system. The special table width of 2.5 meters proves the extreme stability of the lightweight furniture system. Electromotive height adjustment enables the working height to be adjusted continuously and ergonomically. In addition, the load capacity of the height adjustment is very high, with a load capacity of up to 600 kg.

Software
The I/O module is used to control external sensors and actuators. The I/O module and the elneos five device can be controlled using the highlink Power software.
