February 2016 – Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg Dortmund equips its laboratories with erfi technology!

The new school building for the Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg with an investment volume of approx. 80 million euros
equipped its laboratories and workstations with erfi technology.
The 24 electronics laboratories consisting of student workstations, teacher desks with complete electronic sub-distribution as well as cabinet installations for measuring devices and teaching materials were equipped by erfi.

Of a total of 350 tables, more than 150 were set up as laboratory tables with the
elneos® connect workstation system. They have complex superstructures with state-of-the-art and very extensive equipment in original 19″ technology, including the new elneos® five equipment system. This first, fully capacitive device system is controlled using the 5-finger multi-touch gesture function and can accommodate up to 32 devices in the smallest of spaces. The laboratory tables are equipped with an integrated experiment frame for A4 teaching materials.

The devices used from elneos® five cover the functions of power supply units, multimeters, function generators and power meters. Some of the rooms are equipped for remote control, as the elneos® five devices are networked with each other and thus enable intelligent performance, similar to Industry 4.0 technology.

Numerous learning islands and workbenches in the workshop area are equipped with fold-down vices and solid beech wood worktops. PC workbenches and theory workstations have integrated and practical cable management, which offers users maximum flexibility. The more than 250 built-in laboratory cabinets have top elements with ladder panels and the internal modules are equipped with heavy-duty shelves and grooved mats for teaching materials.

The Robert-Bosch-Berufskolleg thus offers future-oriented technology in vocational training for the fields of electrical engineering, information technology and telecommunications. Electronics technicians specializing in energy and building technology, information electronics technicians and electronics technicians for automation as well as IT systems electronics technicians and IT specialists are trained here for their future.
