erfi delivers major order to Miele-Imperial – a lighthouse project in the industry!

erfi was awarded the contract for 5 fully automatic test systems for testing steam cookers.

erfi was able to convincingly win the tender for the testing systems.

The decisive reasons for awarding the contract were erfi’s innovative strength, the new device technologies and the clearly structured and innovative Candy Power 2015 software.

The modern and newly developed compact testers of the CANclass device generation in the 2015 model version and the 60 years of experience in the field of electronics and testing technology are unique.

The numerous similar projects realized in the product environment of white goods and kitchen appliances of all kinds convinced the end customer of erfi’s performance.

During the acceptance of the systems, the customer was impressed by the extraordinary performance of the systems.

The end customer particularly appreciated the improvements in testing times. With the new systems, considerable time savings can be achieved compared to the previous testing technology.

The new CANDY POWER 2015 testing software:

The newly developed CANDY POWER 2015 inspection software impresses with its clear structure in the areas of inspection planning, inspection sequence and statistics. A completely newly developed approach in the area of test planning allows test plans to be created very efficiently.

The innovative programming technology of “Structural Analysis”, combined with the latest software development tools under LabVIEW from National Instruments and the new CANclass device models 2015 result in a uniquely powerful package.

With the new product features, erfi once again defines the benchmark in the test system market.

The test systems consist of 4 stationary test systems and 1 mobile test system, each installed in a large 19″ cabinet.

The following tests are carried out fully automatically with each system:

1. various visual inspections
2. air flow measurements (tightness, connection of all hoses)
3. protective conductor test at various points
4. insulation resistance measurement
5. high voltage test under nominal voltage (HV-Warm)
6. water flow measurements (fresh water)
7. determination of water quantity in the residual water tank using electronic scales
8. determination of water quantity for appliances without fixed water connection
9. leak tests of the internal tubing
10. function test
11. temperature measurement at different points with maximum accuracy
12. temperature simulations
13. microwave leakage jet measurement
14. various electrical 3-phase and 1-phase performance tests
for different steam generators, radiators, blowers and fans
15. various sensor queries
16. radio spike testing
17. component barcode detection
18. extensive communication via IR interface
Various device functions are remote-controlled with this interface.
19. generation of an electronic type plate and much more.

In the stationary systems, a stable monitor swivel arm ensures the desired ergonomics. In the mobile systems, the monitor is elegantly integrated into the cabinet.

An intelligent connection panel with pneumatically operated terminals enables very efficient contacting of 1.0 to 6.0 mm2.
Furthermore, many country-specific sockets have been taken into account.
