On June 1, 2025, erfi proudly celebrated its 70th anniversary. Since its founding in June 1955 by the visionary Ernst Fischer, the company has continuously established itself as a market leader in the production of electronics lab tables and equipment. Today, erfi looks back on an unparalleled success story—characterized by innovation, quality, and a unique depth of manufacturing.
What began as a small company has, over seven decades, developed into a leading provider in the industry. erfi was the first company to implement the concept of electronics lab tables and thus founded this market. All electronic laboratory devices as well as all measuring and testing equipment are manufactured in-house. This complete in-house production enables us to guarantee the highest precision and quality.
The journey of erfi has always been marked by pioneering spirit. As the inventor of the first electronics lab tables that meet the highest standards of both functionality and ergonomics, we have set benchmarks in this product category. Our solutions impress not only with outstanding quality but also with unique features. As the only company worldwide, we have succeeded in equipping electronics lab tables with 3D gesture control and a self-developed, internet-independent voice control system. In time for our anniversary, two patents for these innovations have now been granted.

It all started with workbenches in 1955
In 1968, erfi established the market for electronics lab tables.
In 1987, erfi introduced the highlab furniture series, presenting for the first time an aluminum lab table with suspended device cockpits and a triangular column. This invention once again revolutionized the electronics lab table market.
Today, erfi is the market leader in workplace systems, testing systems, and measurement and testing equipment.
